If Denmark is to remain competitive in future, Danish companies need highly competent employees, preferably with a global outlook.
There are over 14,000 international students in Denmark pursuing higher education. Many international students want to work in Denmark but find it difficult to make contact with Danish companies. Therefore, the majority leave Denmark after graduating. Denmark thus loses many talented and promising young people.
A global outlook and openness to new ideas are decisive parameters if the Danish workforce is to fare well in the face of global competition. Denmark needs to focus on the possibilities to recruit international students. FBE, Forum for Business Education, and CIRIUS are contributing by gathering good examples and experiences from companies that have already taken the plunge and initiated cooperation with international students.
We hope that this guide will inspire and help Danish companies and international students find each other – both during the students’ studies and after graduation.
We hope you will enjoy reading it.
